For the third guest announcement for Grossfest 3

0

It is hard to believe I have known these two people as long as I have. We met in passing at an awesome local video store but a short time after we officially met on the set of their project “The Resurrection Game”.  A one take stunt in their film cemented a friendship with these very talented Indy folk. One has directed such independent features ‘The Resurrection Game’ and ‘Razor Days’ but also has written several scripts for ‘Dead Men Walking’, ‘The Screening’, plus has written recently very knowledgeable reads called ‘The Movie Outlaw’ book series. The other half of this excellent independent duo has directed ‘Severe Injuries’ and ‘Splatter Movie: The Director’s Cut’, acted in such projects ‘Demon Divas and the Lanes of Damnation’ and ‘Tales of Poe’, and a producer. This couple makes up the company as we all know it ‘Happy Cloud Productions’. It is an absolute pleasure and I am proud to introduce two great friends that their careers have now spawned two plus decades in independent film… the next guests of Grossfest 2020: Amy Lynn Best-Watt and Mike Watt!

A guest announcement I believe all independent horror fans will be delighted to see in person… You may have seen him in recent independent films such as “It Stains the Sands Red”, “Another Wolfcop”, or “Meathook Massacre 4”? His career has recently taken off and he will be seen in several upcoming horror projects. But like me most know him as the director, writer, and actor in the recent masterpiece “Pool Party Massacre”.  I am happy to introduce you to Drew Marvick!

Grossfest Film Contest

Hey independent filmmakers you have a feature length film or a short film that you are thinking about sending to festivals? Well, we are looking for them for Grossfest 2019! Here are the rules:

First, we need a physical copy of the film to qualify.

Second, no fee for entering the film except the shipping charges you will have to pay to get the film to us.

Third, this does not guarantee the film will play at Grossfest. Why? We have a limited amount of time. Come on people it’s a one day event. Tim Gross will be picking the best feature and best short film and they will receive the Grossfest movie award. Also all films will be reviewed and show up on www.grossmoviereviews.com . Like the film or not Tim will still review it.

Fourth, all entries need to be in or postmarked by June 30, 2019. This is so proper time can be given to review the movie and decide the winners. The winners of best feature and best short film will be shown at some point between 11am – 10pm of July 20, 2019 during Grossfest. Hopefully we will have a schedule of the films playing a few weeks before Grossfest?

Any questions can be sent to grossfest@gmail.com . Or contact Tim Gross on Facebook www.facebook.com/grossmoviereviews for where to send it.

Surprise Grossfest announcement!

Surprise, surprise guess who is coming to Grossfest! He could not make it last year because of unforeseen circumstances. These things happen with conventions ‘subject to change’ but we had to make room for this cool independent person.  He is a known figure among Indy gorehounds so let’s just get to it; I introduce you to writer/director Brian Paulin! Mr. Paulin might be best known for such independent hit films “Bone Sickness”, “Fetus”, “Mummy Raider”, and “Blood Pigs” but I remember this good man when I first seen the 2000’s “At Dawn They Sleep”.  Brian’s films punch you in the face with some amazing and possibly disturbing to some folks gore effects… Brian is the founder of Morbid Vision Films and we are proud to have him at our show. For more info on Brian check out: www.morbidvisionfilms.com .

P.S. WE MIGHT BE SOLD OUT OF VENDOR SPACES… STAY TUNED!

Guest announcement: He is one of the most multi-talented independent filmmakers you could ever meet. He has his own website that streams and available for purchase his films and music called, “Henflix”. He has acted in over 30 films and has directed two dozen films. You name it; he has done it in front of the camera and behind it and does not stick to one genre. Depression: The Movie, Babysitter Massacre, Calamity Jane’s Revenge are a few of his notable films. I could write pages on how cool this once a generation talent is but how about you come on down to Grossfest this July 20th and meet him yourself. I introduce you to the one and only Henrique Couto!
