This website is dedicated to horror movies (independent and mainstream), beer, Full Moon, Spookies, Graveyard Shift, Leprechaun sequels, massacre films and watching every god damn horror film ever made or die trying!
So this means we have sold out vendor spaces but now we need to get many butts through the door for $10 each! So vendors, friends, friends of vendors, filmmakers, Indy folk, artists, authors, we need your help spreading the word of August 5th. Plus remember there is hotel rooms available if you are traveling far, partying a little much, or just looking to stay the night with friends so please support the hotel also.
Since we have filled about ¾’s of the ballroom with vendors and guests (get your table soon folks) thought it was time to speak out? Say hey or how yinz doing n’at? What are the Gross Brothers doing?
Answer: The same thing we were doing in 2018… (Besides Tom Gross being a famous actor) Giving a convention or I should word it this way a home for independent vendors, filmmakers, authors, and actors to thrive. Independent movie fans we are in a world of autograph shows these days where its $125 to shake the hand of a John Carpenter and table prices for that convention that make you question you going on as an artist? We are not here to debate these actions but just like five years ago we are trying to give artists an alternative of not breaking the bank or destroying your budgets to do your next project while promoting the most recent one. We ain’t reinventing the wheel, we are just trying to have a fun convention where we all can have fun, network, sell some cool shit, and keep this cool exciting event going year in and year out! I have said it before “This is either the beginning of the end or Grossfest has just got started”. We know there is a few of yinz out there hope we don’t succeed, we know there is some of yinz watching and staying quiet to see how we do going big again (it’s cool, we will be waiting for you next year), there is a couple of yinz waiting for us to go to two day event (don’t worry we are waiting for yinz too) and we know we have our Grossfest die hards. Point is people if yinz want this to be fun and survive we will need your help: Know a vendor that could be interested? Tell them contact grossfest@gmail.com as the spaces are only $50! Know people who want to check this event out? Admission is $10 the day of the show at the door of the ballroom. Spread the word of Grossfest as our goal is not just to make money to sustain the event but for it to get bigger to bring more or different Indy guests in, play more movies, have people get together and come up with awesome crazy independent film, book, or artwork ideas, or most of all just make it the premiere event for all yinz independent folk. Remember you never know when you might be shaking hands with the next John Carpenter or even (because it is Pittsburgh) the next George A. Romero and it didn’t cost you hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. Now for my closing statement: we are not here to compete against other conventions as much as to be what we always were, Grossfest… because remember we are the joke that keeps on going and told we could never do this… so why can’t we just support independent cinema, have fun doing it, and see where it goes? See yinz August 5th for our one day Grossfest!
Hey Grossfest fans it won’t be long before Saturday, October 29th, 2022 rolls around and we are having another outdoor event that features filmmakers, artists, and authors!
First, THE EVENT IS FREE TO THOSE ATTENDING.
Second, vendors remember we have limited space and they are going fast. 10X10 space, you bring the table, chairs, and canopy tent and its $25 for the space. (Yes, we will be around to help set you up.) You can go to www.grossfest.com and click on the link there to get a vendor agreement and pay, or just contact the famous actor Tom Gross on Facebook, or contact grossfest@gmail.com. (Reminder, you must have a signed vendor agreement to come set up.) Set up is 9 to 10:59am that morning. It is a parking lot, let’s keep this simple my friends.
Third, sorry folks no movies are playing (when we do a bigger Grossfest there will be movies) but you will be able to go onto the patio and meet our two special Grossfest guests in Maddie Deering and Steve Rudzinski. They are two of the most talented young independent filmmakers in the Western, Pa. area and their recent projects are making a lot of waves in the independent world so meet them before they go Hollywood!!!
Fourth and most important, because the show is free, all we ask in return besides visiting, supporting, and networking with all the great vendors please walk inside the bar/restaurant Willow Station: have a drink, sample the awesome food, support a great local place who puts up with our CHAOS called Grossfest, and meet some new friends there.
Questions… I honestly hope this answers it all if not contact me and the famous actor Tom Gross on Facebook or through grossfest@gmail.com again. We thank yinz for your support and come out to support some cool people on a very festival weekend!

Filmmakers yes we are taking submissions for short film and feature awards and the convention again but remember there is no guarantee it will play unless Tim Gross himself contacts you. And yes, for the love of Rutger Hauer we need a physical copy for it to be considered. We are weird that way! We are an independent convention with limited time so we do our best movie wise.
So please kids share with everyone on every social media platform even if it is Xhamster! Tell the world about Grossfest as we are an Independent horror movie convention trying to help support independent filmmakers, authors, and artists. Any profit goes back into the show for the next year.

This next Grossfest guest needs no introduction… but we are giving him one anyhow. He is good looking, funny, and super talented! You would know him as director and actor from such independent films: Everyone Must Die!, Super Task Force One, Captain Z & the Terror of Leviathan, a huge horror fan favorite CarousHell, and now his talking cat films. He also runs SilverSpotlightFilms.com and has started a subscription service called “SteveBuster” at stevebuster.com! We are happy to bring back the multi-talented Grossfest 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award winner Steve Rudzinski.

Another cool person we have wanted as a guest for Grossfest. She is from near Dayton, Ohio and this wonderful actress has been in almost 40 films over the past seven years. She has quickly become one of the best actresses in independent film over the past few years as her presence in movies is unforgettable. She has worked with some cool independent filmmakers: Dustin Mills, Dave Parker, John Oak Dalton and Henrique Couto in such projects as Bath Salt Zombies, Easter Casket, Babysitter Massacre, A Bulldog for Christmas, Awkward Thanksgiving, Slimy Little Bastards, The Slit-Mouthed Woman, Slaughterhouse Slumber Party, and The Girl in the Crawlspace to name a few. It is delightful that we are able to introduce yinz to our next guest of Grossfest 3, the talented actress Erin R. Ryan!
