Mesa, AZ – 2015 – Just when you thought it was safe to relax and let out your breath, the evil genius of Scarlet Fry (Walter Ruether III) makes itself known once more in the shape of Scream Machine’s five bloody twisted tales: “Sledgehammer,” “Cannibal Pen Pals,” “April Fool’s Party,” “Septic Shock,” and “Deadly Indie Drive-In.” Each one featuring the three M’s of horror: madness, murder, and mayhem; guaranteed to make you faint, puke, and quite possibly soil your pants!

Scream Machine’s host segments, which introduce Scarlet Fry as Dr. Fry, take place after the Ebola plague wipes out Earth’s entire population. The two exceptions being Dr. Fry and his new assistant Dr. Graves, Dr. “Head”ley Graves (Paul C. Hemmes). Known for bringing to life such cult classics as: Horrorama, Death By VHS, Nightmare Alley, and Junk Food Horror Fest; Writer/Producer/Director Walter Ruether III teams up with filmmaker Paul C. Hemmes to make his latest and quite possibly greatest horror anthology to date. Featuring the acting talents of Lloyd Kaufman (The Toxic Avenger), Sandra E. Williams (Ted 2), and David C. Hayes (A Man Called Nereus).

Circle “In Here…Everything Gets You Killed.”

Los Angeles, California – Votiv Films and Taggart Productions have released the first official images from their upcoming psychological thriller Circle. The film, written and directed by Aaron Hann and Mario Miscione is an intense real-time thriller, which uniquely examines humanity under the worst possible circumstances. In a massive, mysterious chamber, fifty strangers awaken to find themselves trapped with no memory of how they got there. Organized in an inward-facing circle and unable to move, they quickly learn that every two minutes one of them must die… executed by a strange device in the center of the room. At first the attacks seem random, but soon the strangers realize that they, as a group, have the power to decide who will be the next to be killed. A vote. A chance to control the machine. But how can they choose who deserves to die? And what happens when there is only one person left?

 

The first official images showcase the stark, bold aesthetic developed by Director of Photography Zoran Popovic and Production Designer Tom Lisowski. Reminiscent of the austere settings in Vincenzo Natali’s The Cube (1997), it was designed to give the strangers no place to hide; forcing them to face each other – and the deadly machine at its core – through each harrowing round.  Intrigued by the idea of fifty strangers trapped together, Directors Hann and Miscione drew inspiration from the classic drama 12 Angry Men (1957), which locked its characters in a single room and focused on the differences and relationships of 12 jurors tasked with determining a man’s guilt. This, along with iconic genre influences such as The Twilight Zone (1959), helped inform Circle’s central premise. “From the beginning we wanted to tell a story about people and what they do when they’re thrown into a terrifying, no-win situation. What do we become when we have no way out?”
Circle stars: Carter Jenkins, Julie Benz, Mercy Malick, Allegra Masters, Michael Nardelli, Autumn Federici, Lawrence Kao, Kevin Sheridan and Cesar Garcia.

This Christmas Brain Damage Films presents The Bible Belt Slasher: The Holy Terror, a love letter to the 1980’s and its low budget slashers from the mind of Bradley Creanzo.  The movie is already available On Demand through most major cable, satellite, and internet VOD providers, with a bonus-packed DVD arriving December 30th.  DVD extras include the 30-minute “Bible Belt Slasher Part 1” short film, original music videos, bloopers/deleted scenes, TV spots, interviews and more.

 

 

About the Film

The Bible Belt Slasher is the brain child of writer/director/producer/star/cinematographer/composer/editor/80’s fanatic Bradly Creanzo.  Some may remember him from the 2013 documentary Adjust Your Tracking, in which he shows off the replica retro video store he built that lives in his basement (which also appears in Bible Belt).

 

The Holy Terror is actually the second film in the series — the first is a half hour short included on the DVD — described by Creanzo as having “Something for everyone whether it be violence, blood & gore, 80’s music, suspense, black comedy or that walk down slasher memory lane.”

 

Both films premiered together to a sold out theater in New Jersey, followed by a very limited DVD, VHS and Betamax (yes, you read that right) release.  Brain Damage Films has no plans for a wider Betamax release but we’re excited to bring this uniquely entertaining piece of cinema to the masses just in time for the holidays!

 

 

Synopsis

It’s December 1989, and Wilkins, Tennessee native Jason Fry returns to wreak more havoc on the survivors, friends and families of the teenagers whom he killed in the first film. Fry is committed back to the Hillside Sanitarium for his brutal crimes, but he doesn’t stay there long. Fry kills his doctor and escapes going on a bloodbath crusade of revenge against those he believes to be sinners in his eyes. Only Dr. Landers knows what Fry is and he will do anything in his power to stop him, but will he save everyone from the holy terror that Fry brings this Christmas season?

The Culling  “When the Devil Breeds, a New Evil is Born!”

Los Angeles, California – The supernatural thriller The Culling is being revealed here! This title, from director Rustam Branaman, involves a lost and lonely, young girl. She encounters five friends at an isolated cafe and they bring her back to her home. But, a secret lies in the bowels of this cursed structure, one in which none of the friends can escape. Starring Elizabeth Di Prinzio (The Devil Within), Jeremy Sumpter (Peter Pan), Brett Davern (“Awkward”), Chris Coy, (Hostel: Part III) and Linsey Godfrey, The Culling now has a thrilling first trailer.

 

The clip shows the five friends, with Lucy (Harley Graham). They drive her back to her home, but the house is strangely empty. As the night grows darker, Tyler, Emily, Sean, Hank, and Amanda begin to suspect that Lucy has brought them into a ghostly trap. Can they escape this curse? Only if the home’s demonic inhabitants will let them.

 

Recently, The Culling has been picked up by Signature Entertainment, for distribution in the United Kingdom. The release will take place on DVD, this upcoming March 23rd, 2015. As well, there are plans to release the film in North America; New Media Millenium Distributors will handle the film’s domestic distribution. A release date for the United States and Canada is coming soon. For now, media and editors can enjoy a first look at, which is sure to be, one of 2015’s most exciting and terrifying indie horror features- The Culling!

The Culling

DEAD GIRLS Will Get Their Revenge Soon

Brain Damage Films is set to release Dead Girls on VOD October 2nd, followed by DVD on November 4th.  Dead Girls is a chilling three-part horror anthology featuring stories in the flavor of female revenge.  DVD availability is set to include many retailers and websites including Amazon, as well as rental chains including Family Video.  VOD availability will include all major and minor cable/satellite operators and internet platforms.

 

The film is also playing at the Chicago Horror Film Festival this Friday, September 26th, and at the Days of the Dead Horror Film Festival this Sunday, September 28th.

 

 

About the Film

Dead Girls, from writer/director team Del Harvey and Neal Fischer (Rough Cut Films), tells three stories of abused and forsaken girls who return from the dead to take their revenge.  Genre veteran Lynn Lowry (The Crazies, They Came from Within) provides a creepy narration while a great cast leads the short stories “Over My Dead Body,” “Theta Phi’s Never Die,” and “Vengeance is Mine.”

 

DVD special features include a behind-the-scenes featurette, trailers, and deleted scenes.

 

 

Synopsis

Three stories of horror connected through the pages of dead girls’ diaries. In one, a ghostly apparition seeks revenge upon the man who betrayed her love and is responsible for her death. In another a mystical object helps a young woman reach out from beyond the grave to exact her revenge against the stuck up sisters of a college sorority. And in the third a young woman who has lost her way and her faith finds the answer to her prayers in the last place she would have expected. “Dead Girls” is a horror anthology similar to such classics of the genre as Tales From The Crypt, Trick ‘R Treat, Twilight Zone: The Movie, Creepshow, and many others.

Dead Girls

“American Mary” star joins “Gut” director’s “A.”

Clayface Pictures has inked a co-production deal with The October People (“The Invoking”, “The Device”) to produce the supernatural thriller “A.”

 

Elias (“Gut”, “Dark”) will direct from his original script and The October People’s Matt Medisch, John Portanova, and Jeremy Berg will produce alongside him.

Tristan Risk (“American Mary”, “The Editor”) and Nicholas Wilder (“Gut”, “Like The Spider”) will star, with more cast announcements expected soon.

 

“A.” centers on Elton, a man plagued by visions of his dead 4-year-old sister, which pull him deeper into a world where his obsession brings her back to life as an adult woman with dire consequences.

“Elias’ script grabbed us right away with its personal style and dark, vivid imagery,” says producer Matt Medisch, “We’re thrilled to help him bring his vision to the screen.”

“I’m really happy to be working with Matt, John and Jeremy,” tells Elias, “We have a lot in common, not only with our love for films, but how we make them, and you can’t ask for more than that.”

Shooting is planned for late Spring 2015, with the film to be lensed by Berg.

The deal was brokered by Matt Medish for the The October People with Elias for Clayface Pictures.
