0Horror Realm, in association with In Person Productions, is pleased to launch Pittsburgh’s Horror Realm & Pop Expo on July 24-26, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh West Green Tree.
The three day convention/expo brings the familiar, comfortable and affordable vibe that Horror Realm has built over the last seven years while expanding to offer guests from the pop culture arena.
Our March show at the new venue brought in double the attendance of previous spring shows and was the second highest attended show since we began in 2009. We expect this upward trend to continue in July with anticipated attendance of 1,500 to 2,000 due to higher profile guests, more accessible location and more media coverage/reach.
The guest list is still being developed but the following have been confirmed:
- Ryan Hurst – portrayed Harry “Opie” Winston for four years on the FX hit television series “Sons of Anarchy”. Currently appearing on A&E’s series “Bates Motel”
- Andre Gower – The Monster Squad
- Erin Murphy – Bewitched
- Lynn Lowry –The Crazies, Shivers
- Ani-Mia – professional cosplayer and model
- Caroll Spinney – artist and puppeteer most famous for playing Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street
- David Newell – Pittsburgh’s lovable Speedy Delivery man Mr. McFeely from Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood
We are now accepting reservations for dealers. If you wish to exhibit, please return the attached form with payment as soon as possible. Spots will not be held without payment. We sold out in March do expect to sell out again.
Please note that this is our final show of 2015. There will not be a show in August this year.

2Less than 15 tables remain for Horror Realm’s Spring Break Massacre show on March 6-8 at the new location of Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh West – Green Tree. Our new location will allow us to house all guests and vendors in one room.

Come on out as I will have a table with co-director Daniel Boyd as we continue pimping out our new film Jagoff Massacre! We will have copies of the film for sale and we still have a few T-shirts left. Plus I will have my book The Big Ass Book of Gross Movie Reviews for sale and of course I will be there to talk about the Bloodbaths and Boomsticks podcast, Spookies, Jagoff Massacre 2 as its in pre-production, my next book which was recently finished and just waiting for the perfect cover from the great artist Ed Quillin! And as always we will have a beer or two or 12… So come on by the convention check out all the guests, movies, and at some point stop by to chat with Gross Movie Reviews himself Tim Gross. Dealer table for Horror Realm 2014 is up!
0Horror Realm, Pittsburgh’s modern horror convention, is pleased to announce that the Spring Break Massacre returns for a full weekend in 2014.
The show will be March 7 to 9 at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South. Discounted room rates will be available; details will be released soon.
We are now accepting dealer registrations for the spring show. The registration form with table rates and payment options is attached. All tables are $125 (with a discount for multiples). Wall space is limited and will be placed on a first paid, first placed basis.
This is our second year of a full weekend in the spring and while we are growing, we do not expect the same level of attendance as our fall show. As a result, we are limiting the number of tables available to 50 to ensure fair sales competition and variety. Our tables have consistently sold out so if you want a space, please complete the agreement and return with payment as soon as possible.
We can also offer sponsorship packages at various levels and costs to provide additional exposure for your business both on-site at the convention and through our pre-show promotional efforts using our proprietary horror fan mailing list, social media subscriber contacts, media press releases and collateral materials. Benefits provided to sponsors can include naming rights, complimentary exhibit space and admissions, web site promotion, etc. Please contact Sandy Stuhlfire at info@horrorrealmcon.com to inquire about sponsorship opportunities.
If you can’t attend but would like to promote your business at Horror Realm, please contact us to discuss options such as donating prizes or giveaways, web advertising, etc.
Horror Realm is a small but growing convention with a reputation for being a fun, fan-friendly event with a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Attendance has grown with the favorable word of mouth of our patrons, dealers and guests who have enjoyed our shows. We offer some different and unusual programming, events, contests and parties to attract attendees. The show will feature the dealer room, VHS viewing room, film festival, panels, events, entertainment and the return of our Zombie Gras party.
