Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance will be released on Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday, January 12, 2016 on Amazon.com.
Los Angeles, January 11, 2016 (Newswire.com) – Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance will be released on Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday, January 12, 2016 on Amazon.com.
This much anticipated sequel to the legendary cult classic, Samurai Cop (1991), explores the dynamic duo of Detective Frank Washington (Mark Frazier) and Joe Marshall (Mathew Karedas), who are teaming up once again in this action-packed tour de force. This time their mission is to solve a series of assassinations being committed by a secret group of sexy female vigilante killers.
“I’m a big fan of the first film and it’s amazing to work with the original cast as well as the new generation of cast members. I feel really blessed. I hope I did the ensemble justice. It helped to have reverence for the cast and I respected everyone’s work in it.”
The Blu-ray/DVD features two audio commentaries with Mathew Karedas, Mark Frazer and Gregory Hatanaka moderated by Dave Robinson, deleted scenes and behind the scenes footage
Alongside the original cast, the film also stars iconic actors such as Mel Novak (Bruce Lee’s Game of Death, Black Belt Jones, Chuck Norris’ Eye for An Eye), Bai Ling (The Crow, Crank: High Voltage), Tommy Wiseau (The Room), Laurene Landon (Maniac Cop 1 and 2, Airplane II: The Sequel, Hundra), Thomas J. Churchill (Lazarus: Apocalypse, Checkpoint), Joe Estevez (Dexter), Dawna Lee Heising (Pond Scum, Ten Violent Women: Part 2), Gerald Okamura (G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra) , Lisa London (Darling Nikki, Divorce Texas Style), Kayden Kross (Street Smart), Lexi Belle (Sisterhood), Kristine De Bell (Darling Nikki, Meatballs) and Joycelyne Lew (Mad Cowgirl, Ride With the Devil), who were both leads in Jackie Chan’s The Big Brawl and countless others.
This film utilizes 35mm film, which is rare in today’s digital world. This is a new trend as 35mm and 70mm film are being used in the new James Bond and Quentin Tarantino films. Heising’s scene with Wiseau utilized 35mm film, which was apropos as Hatanaka truly gave homage to the original film while also keeping it fresh and current enough for modern day audiences.

BUNNYMAN MASSACRE hopping its way to Home Video this August 12th0
Midnight Releasing is set to unleash the demented Bunnyman Massacre this August on DVD and VOD across North America. Also known as “Bunnyman 2”, the film is a drastically improved sequel to the 2011 cult hit Bunnyman which gained notoriety from a huge amount of press, as well as being in heavy rotation on the cable TV channel CHILLER. Availability information is forthcoming.
About the Film
The Bunny Man character was inspired by the true story of an axe-wielding man in a bunny suit who terrorized residents of Fairfax County, Virginia in 1970. Going wild with that inspiration, writer/director Carl Lindbergh and his company ANOC Productions created and released Bunnyman in 2011. Despite mixed reviews, the film gained a sizable following and has been known to play back-to-back on the cable TV channel Chiller.
Bunnyman Massacre was completed in 2013 and it’s obvious that the ANOC Productions crew took notes from the response to the first film — This one is leaps and bounds (pun intended) ahead of the original in all aspects from the visual quality to the acting, direction, story, and horror elements. Bunnyman Massacre premiered on Chiller over Easter weekend this year.
If you like your horror served with heaps of gore, lots of kills, memorable characters, and dashes of nudity, humor and general offensiveness, this film is certainly for you. And with a third installment in production, Carl Lindbergh’s bloody and furry creation is on track for true horror franchise status.
“Inspired by the fans requests, Bunnyman 2 aka The Bunnyman Massacre was born,” explains Lindbergh. “With Bunnyman 2 we were able to realize the potential of Bunnyman 1, and at the same time create a franchise that will continue with Bunnyman 3 (which is currently in production.) What I appreciate with The Bunnyman Massacre is that we were able to make a film that really stands apart from all the countless slasher films, and deliver a film that is very unique.”
The adventures of Joe and Bunnyman know no limit of bloodlust and carnage. Bodies pile up as Bunnyman indiscriminately slaughters anything that crosses his path in a mutually beneficial relationship that gives Joe plenty of beef jerky to sell in his local store.

In 1988, Charles Band directed “PULSE POUNDERS,” an anthology film comprised of short film sequels to the biggest hits of Empire Pictures – the first (and unseen) “TRANCERS” sequel, “H.P. LOVECRAFT’s THE EVIL CLERGYMAN,” and a sequel to “THE DUNGEONMASTER.” “PULSE POUNDERS” was shot and edited in 1988 before circumstances prevented it from being released. “PULSE POUNDERS” was thought to be a lost film. For the last 25 years, “TRANCERS” fans have clamored to see the unseen adventures of Jack Deth
Recently, a “PULSE POUNDERS” work print was discovered. Charles Band and a team of experts have been working for the last year digitally restoring it and augmenting the soundtrack with music from the classic first TRANCERS film! “TRANCERS: CITY OF LOST ANGELS” stars Tim Thomerson (Jack Deth), Helen Hunt (Lena), and the rest of the TRANCERS ensemble.
Trancers: City of Lost Angels
Jack Deth, the super cop from the future, has put away three centuries worth of time traveling criminals. But Deth’s most dangerous collar, the ultraviolent assassin Edlin Shock, has escaped from her maximum security holding cell and won’t rest until she’s exacted revenge. Meanwhile, Deth is trying to make a life for himself as a private eye in 1988 Los Angeles with his hot-blooded girlfriend Lena (played by Academy Award winning actress Helen Hunt). Relationship troubles are just the beginning of Deth’s problems when he learns that Edlin Shock has followed him back in time. Aided by his former police chief McNulty, whose consciousness is inhabiting the body of a 13-year-old girl, Jack Deth will have to use his wits, as well as his fists, to save the past, present, and future!
