This suspenseful feature focuses on a high profile child abduction and the struggle to find the kidnappers. Starring Golden Globe nominee Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan), Najarra Townsend (Contracted), Maria Olsen and ex-con actor Dave Vescio, an early look at the film is available here.

The film’s first production stills show a wide range of characters. Actress Najarra Townsend plays Zelda, the protagonist in the film. As well, a second poster has been released for the film. The graphic shows Zelda front and centre. The ta gline: ” Zelda has some baggage,” proves that this character has some troubles of her own to overcome. Set in San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge can be seen in the background. And, more can be seen from Wolf Mother, once the film’s main trailer is released – soon.

The Chosen

“The First Kill is the Hardest!”

The Chosen

Los Angeles, California–On July 24th, Terror Films released its first horror film, The Chosen in a co-distribution partnership with Supergravity Pictures. The film was released on various platforms, including iTunes where it has remained in the top 100 of all horror films for over 8 weeks. As of December 1st, the film is now available through an exclusive SVod deal on Netflix and will be available at Redbox starting December 15th.

The film centers around Cameron (Kian Lawley), a directionless 19 year-old destined to never leave his hometown. He is thrust into the role of hero when his 10 year-old niece, Angie (Mykayla Sohn), becomes possessed by the mythical demon Lilith. With only six days to break the demon’s grip on the child, Cameron, with the help of his sister (Angelica Chitwood), must perform the unthinkable task of systematically killing his family members. He must do this in order to rid his niece of the demon and bring peace to his fractured household.

First time feature film director, Ben Jehoshua stated “the story behind The Chosen was sparked when I was sitting at breakfast with my friend and co-writer, Barry Jay Stich. We were talking about our favorite horror films of all time, which led to the topic of our families and how often you hear people say, ‘I’d do anything for my family.’ But then I asked myself, would they really? That was our starting point. My brother Judah, who is an occult fan, suggested the Lilith storyline. We’re Jewish and wanted to explore our own mythology rather than Christian possession or the Greek themes that so often make their way into Horror films dealing with possession.”

Terror Films’ Joe Dain, Miles Fineburg and Jim Klock produced the film and The Chosen stars Kian Lawley, Elizabeth Keener, Angelica Chitwood, Mykayla Sohn, Barbara Goodson, Chris Gann, Casey James Knight, Emily Killian, Dayna Devon, Harv Popick and Penelope Richards.

Fifteen” – World’s First Periscope Movie
“Not Watching Might Kill You”
Fifteen-Sarah-Booth-Still

Los Angeles California – October 30th, 2015 – “Fifteen” is the world’s first live horror film. Broadcast using Twitter’s Periscope app’ on October 29th, 2015, the short film had its debut in front of thousands of horror fans. Completely live, the idea for the film was developed by director Michael Gavin Booth (The Scarehouse) and Ryan Turek (Blumhouse Productions). The live film went off without a hitch!  The film starred Neil Napier (“Helix”), Sarah Booth, Hannah Kat Jones, Paula Jean Hixson and Alastair James. Fans of horror can see the film, in its entirety, now on Youtube.

The film takes place on the night of October 29th where two roommates are getting ready for a Halloween party they are hosting. A serial killer, nicknamed “Truman” is broadcasting his bloody exploits to the masses, via the Periscope app’.  Tonight, he’s picked the wrong house to mess with.

The film was developed and rehearsed extensively over the last week. The film included real time stunts and real time special effects, with the actors shooting the film with a smartphone. Gavin Michael Booth says of the shoot and of “Fifteen:”  “We set out to do something fresh, create a world first and here we are on the other side.  For me, I like to do projects that excite me and bring a challenge, I mean, every film has its challenges big and small but working on a project like ‘Fifteen,’ I’m forced to be way outside my comfort zone.  That makes me feel very much alive and the spirit of invention is thriving on a shoot like this.” Fortunately, the film went streamed seamlessly and “Fifteen” can be seen at the link below.

For those that missed “Fifteen” live, you can now watch the film on Youtube: https://youtu.be/Q3vE0xkyl0g

Film critic, writer and comic performer, Joe Bob was a contributing editor to the National Lampoon, freelance writer for Rolling Stone, Playboy, the Village Voice, and Interview, and a commentator on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. But he is perhaps best known and loved for his stint as the redneck Texan with an avowed love of the drive-in on the tv program Joe Bob’s Drive-In Theater on The Movie Channel, and MonsterVision on TNT. When we asked Joe Bob what film he wanted to show to our patrons, he said TRICK OR TREAT, the 1986 immortal classic horror film directed by Michael S. Murphey (that actor from Never Cry Wolf and American Graffiti), and starring Marc Price (Skippy from Family Ties), with cameos by none other than Ozzy Ozbourne and Gene Simmons. And we tracked down a rare 35mm print to show that night! We’ll have scary treats and a costume contest with prizes. Doors open at 6pm for photos and autographs with Joe Bob (for whatever fee he charges). Costume prizes and the intro at 8pm, and the film rolls after. Tickets are $12 all seats, or just $8 for our Members! No passes or discounts.
