When I sit here and think about it, who in the hell would make music for a board game? Then I see the name on the package and the CD sent to me and it all makes sense: Midnight Syndicate! Why do I say that because hands down these guys abso-fucking-lutely make some of the best music for movies and general creepy music for horror movie lovers for the past decade? The older horror board games “Nightmare” and “Atmosphere” are stirring in their board game graves in jealousy right now. The soundtrack has that right amount of dark, creepy, Goth sound that would scare teens playing the game and make older horror gamers smile with delight. Personally, I believe the soundtrack is so good I would love to see this music matched up with a zombie flick. Filmmakers always ask me what they can do better with their film. Answer is music and this soundtrack proves once again you need to get some money and hire Midnight Syndicate because they are the best around. I do not play board games much these days but this soundtrack makes me want to own the “Zombies!!!” board game and for that I give Midnight Syndicate’s latest creation 4 out of 4 stars.
