Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan Soundtrack review
By Tim Gross
I am pretty much at the point if Midnight Syndicate did music or a soundtrack to people making buttons for kid’s jackets I would be entertained. Their music as soon as it hits is the best drug your ears could have. So when I had already seen the film “Axe Giant” it was no surprised I was more impressed with the music than the film itself. The film may have dug Grizzly Adams out of some hole of Hollywood but the music was the real star of the show when I watched it premiere on SyFy Channel. Midnight Syndicate’s “Minnesota 1894” and “Bunyan’s Cave” tracks make you imagine you are actually a part of the film’s older landscape they were going for in the film. Fun, yet elegant period music that made me actually wanna watch the film again to see how it helps blend the scenes together. Midnight Syndicate once again composes a soundtrack that is a must own for movie soundtrack collectors and proves their music is becoming a bigger part of the film than the film itself… I give it 3 ½ out of 4 stars.
